Steve Jobs said:
"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
felt the earth move when I read this. Whatever we find is intended for us to better our walk. When I better my walk I am however charged with bettering the walk of those with whom I come in contact.
"The Steve Jobs Commandments" is the practical application of Steve Jobs' quote interpolated by me :). We are all blessed by those in this digital space who use their powers for good. Daily we have access to great minds, great facts and even some truth. When we read something as profound as this the question is:
How Do I Get That Rubber to Meet My Road?
So I wrote these 7 commandments as guidelines to help us out.

I will not waste another minute living someone else's life.
I will not be trapped by Dogma.
I will not live trapped by the results of other people's thinking.
I will not let the noise of others' opinion drown out my own inner voice.
I will courageously follow my heart and my intuition. #everyday
I now live knowing that my heart and my intuition already know the 2 most important things:
- Who I AM
- What I want to become
I now live knowing everything else is secondary.
I Am Danna Kiel.
He is Steve Jobs.
We are One.

I Am Danna Kiel...
She is ...Erykah Badu
This is what the road less travelled looks like and this is how we suit up. This song has deep tissue resonance. As a follower of her work and her music my thirst for a voice (vocally, lyrically and spiritually) that matches my heart's voice is unquenchable. I always want to hear her. She is a channel that is always available and open to what the creator sends to and through her. Further like our greatest artists she shares...
I still remember a secret show deep in the Knitting Factory where she signed my Mama's Gun CD from the stage. Hearing the song live that night was one of many layers of liberation for me. I watched her tap her shoulders when singing "but I ain't scared to take the weight" and then look back when singing "so when I stumble off the path I know my heart will guide me back".
As an artist and artisan who creatively and artistically benefitted from an era where music videos were King; I must give a shout out to Black Dog Films (Ridley Scott), Erykah Badu and Jake Scott (son of Ridley Scott) who collaborated on the video's direction and to the DP who's credit I cannot find for a breathtaking and resonant piece of art.
Art like this is what keeps a content creator inspired and moving...What moves you? Do More of That!
